Painting

I have been painting in the house a lot over the weekend and it has occured to me that paint probably isn't vegan, in fact I'm sure I read once that it wasn't. Can anyone confirm this, and is there a vegan alternative to normal paint?

    The water based emulsion paints are vegan.

    Whilst gloss paint isn't.

    Don't forget that virtually all popular brands of paint are tested on a animals....

    What alternatives are there then? Is wallpaper vegan?
